Pamela J. Oakes, a seasoned expert in racial equity solutions, has extensive experience both internationally and in the U.S. She worked in South Africa on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and contributed to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's education reform projects in the U.S., focusing on underrepresented student populations.

As the founder of The Profitable Nonprofit, Pamela specializes in enhancing funding opportunities for BIPOC-led nonprofits, offering strategic guidance in governance and planning. Her notable projects include managing a capacity-building program for King County Public Health and developing a DEI toolkit for Resolution Washington.

Based in Seattle, Pamela is an Organizational Development consultant with a focus on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA). She's a certified trainer for the Nonprofit Association of Washington and Oregon and a University of Washington alumna, passionately advocating for the empowerment of women and girls globally.

Debrena Jackson Gandy is the President and Founder of Masterminds Unlimited, a 25-year old organizational, business and personal development company.

A third generation entrepreneur,  she is passionate about empowering small businesses to succeed.

She is founder of the ELEVATE Movement, an African-American empowerment movement launched in 2017 that has now touched over 1,500 individuals and families. She has designed and led trainings for over 700 small business owners and has served as business consultant and coach to another 150.   Her clients include Fortune 500 companies; federal, state and city governments, community colleges, and regional companies and organizations such as Nordstrom, Puget Sound Energy, University of Washington, Boeing, and the Greater Seattle YMCA.

Also a nationally published best-selling author, course and program designer and facilitator that has graduated thousands of students , Master Life Coach, Relationships Coach, keynote speaker, and mentor to 16 women leaders, she has been featured in magazines such as Oprah’s O, Essence, Ebony, Woman’s Day, and Black Enterprise. She lives in Seattle with her husband of 30 years (and counting), Joseph Gandy, and is mother to three amazing adult daughters.
